I hate whiskey

But it's your birthday and I'd hate to see you disappointed

So if that means downing the whole bottle

I can do it mostly tearless

The very thought of walking by the church these days

To hear your voice calling out my name

Makes me sick and

Makes my heart drop down to hell

Still please take these displaced feelings

Though they taste way worse than whiskey

Our lips can touch the bottle like God allowed

You live for the delusion

I'd die for just the glimpse

Outside the tainted windows

Outside the bars of shame and sin



I could hate you

But that's a lie so why I'd say that (say that)

And now I'm downing the whole bottle

How I dread the sunrise

I wanna hold you even if it burns

I'd rip my tongue off right before I dare to use it

No prayer and no love could save

My brain from diffusing
