We were cruisin' in my LTD, it was the summer of '83

Tail lights fading into the night, the world was young and we felt free

Laughing under those old street lights, plans were made without a care

Promised that we'd all stick tight, no matter what, no matter where

Hit the ground running in '93, careers on the rise, our spirits free
We chased our dreams with fierce embrace, all challenges a race we’d face
Even as our worlds grew wide, our friendships always kept in stride
In the rush of days and blur of nights, our friendship was our guiding light

Years fly by in the falling rain

Some bonds are forged in the fire of our past

They’re built to last, yeah built to last

A decade gone, another stage, our lives unfold from page to page
The kids are grown and moved away, the quieter times now here to stay
Through whispered winds that gently sway, we find our peace amidst the fray
And in our lives the echoes play, remembrances of yesterday
