So how have I been since that little occasion?
I'm sorry I've been out of touch
I've been working in a developing nation

My days were filled with urgent events
I thought I'd found my true calling
Like a bird caught mid-flight by a barbwire fence
I kept going for a timebefore falling
But here I'm back on these moors again
Searching through the bracken and fern
For something precious I dropped here that day

And even if I found it again
What would be left of a thing like that
Out in this wild, wild terrain

Since that morning it was lost
