On the road to Italy I feel connected and happy
I hitchhike on the road,to the south, to Sicily
On the boat to the island I eat an arancini
I can smell the sweet scent of lemon trees and
Orange trees

Disembarked in Messina, I take the train to Favara
But the train stops before and a car takes me further
I knock on the door of my friends who are surprised
We drink a coffee and we talk about our lives

It's a small town with bars a church a cemetery
People live happily they sing they dance but it's not easy
They don't get help, they thin, they got no mercy
It's not far from the sea with red soil, it's sunny

The first time I was there, we went out, we were crazy
At night we drank beers we talked loudly we laughed noisily
The family that welcomed me is friendly, there are many
We believe in our dreams, we pray to God to succeed

Sicily is beautiful, I love it, it's wonderful
The architecture is awesome and the history is written on the stones
Everybody’s related, you can feel it in the air
It's another world, another atmosphere

It’s like in the stratosphere with feelings without fear
With the pride of the rare ones who know that they are clear
It’s like in the universe with big thoughts in open minds
As you can hear in my verse only the pure are kind

They are famous worldwide and they know it, that’s why
I tell you the real story of my travel, we don’t lie
When we promise it’s for life, we have only one word, they like
We create our own music we are artists we shine

It's the path of my destiny that makes me walk so far
To better know what I have in me, reach for the stars
I never forget what I learned there, be sure, work hard
Because what I deserve is the best of me, living is an art
