I understand prioritizing yourself
And I think that's essential and important
Especially in the midst of any big change

And that's still very theoretical
Because, obviously, when things are in theory
We're looking for, like, every cosign outside of us
To justify or not justify our decision-making
Which can then deter us from our own
You know, autonomy
That all being said
I also think it's really important that
We do not, you know
We as women, cishet women
Especially as, you know, Black women
Women of color or
Whatever in your case. But, like
We don't have to be perfect
Or completely right
Or correct or resolved
To be worthy of affection
And companionship
And, like
Real people have
Go through things
And have challenges
And, and they're not any less entitled
To being loved
Romantically, intimately
Sexually
Platonically, familially
Any of these things
So, while I am so happy for you
That you're getting your things together
And that you are becoming more of yourself
In the way that you most prefer
And, like, adjusting accordingly
I also think you don't need to deny yourself
Companionship, affection
Or the things that you genuinely desire
Simply because you are in the process
Of changing, or growing
Or learning things
And I'm constantly reminding myself of this

Even with my, you know
Developments with
Like, figuring that shit out
I'm constantly like
I am worthy of being companioned
And not having all my shit figured out
Or not being perfect
Or, like, not knowing everything I need to know
About everything I think I need to know
Like, there are perfectly mediocre people
Who are very loved
And very committed to by other people
And that's
That's not a reflection on what
They don't deserve
It's a reflection on what we all deserve
So, if you want a companion
And you'd like a bed buddy
And you want to learn this person
Then, like, don't deny yourself
That opportunity
Simply because you are
In the midst of changing
Anyone who loves you unconditionally
Is gonna have to learn to love you
Through the conditions
And not just expect it to be all, like
Light and fluffy and, like, perfect
