But I cant erase the nights of terror and trauma,
The school nights I would stay up late with momma
Waiting in the living room for you to come home,
That's where issues of self worth took form.
The same ones you dealt with all of your life,
Is that why you ran from your kids and your wife?
Escape into the night, like it would solve it all,
But at the end of the day the family got the call.
I'm not gonna lie, it effects me to this day,
I love you so much and that's why I have to say
Why couldn't I put aside my damn pride?
And fix the broken piece left inside?!
