Inside myself wrapped in a cloak of shadow
I find someone else, not like me
I can see inside, past the eyes there is a glow
A flame of frenzy I could not have foreseen

Schizophrenic delusions of grandeur
A paper thin sanity, I have forgone
My mind swallowed in a perception of sweet velour
Violent tendencies I can't help but dwell on

Entertaining the illusion of power
I cannot fathom my own abilities
The stranger of shadow now looks beyond dour
I can see she will force me to entertain these possibilities

And yet...


I awake knowing of these hostilities
Strange to me, I cannot see their origin
This cannot go on, I fight my own facilities
The violent images beyond comparison

As I rise I notice the aroma
A coppery essence that fills me with zeal
The blood red writing on the wall screams

In a world rife with compelling possibilities
What did I do to deserve this stranger
Seeping into my mind
I cannot go on, causing this present danger
Sanity and morality, so misaligned

I weep, I struggle, I fight this affliction
I fight a losing fight, all on my own
The only drive I have left, my strong convictions
There is no end in sight, I should have known

Bring me into the light!

The walls have closed around me
A sweet sanguine embrace
A dark figure remains to hear my plea
It is the voice inside I must efface

I cry out my supplication
One last attempt at mental clarity
The girl draped in shadow, only removed through a savage ablation
Now I can only hope for the cessation of my ferity

I can finally see
The bright scene extend before me
The sun spreads it gaze down through the trees

In the clearing I find a throne for me
A heap of corpses, strewn by my own hand
Malice retains its hold, unbound to run free
Imparted in my psyche, a homicidal brand

The blood will flow
I will fulfill my most carnal desires
Heads will roll, my heart burns aglow
Made to ignite the coals of these pyres

A cathartic ablution
I submerge myself in bliss
The ultimate sense of absolution
I needed this
