I left the asylum, I sensed dead air
A dire force ahead
The sun was setting and dark blood red
At that moment I felt sad

I stayed back, my friends walked on
Clueless to my distress
As my mind conspired to
Keep my soul detached

Out of breath, lean on the fence
Above the blue black fjord and the city
Clouds like blood and flaming tongues
I tremble with anxiety
wildly, quaking with angst

The twirling air had no effect
On my two drunken friends
They thought I must be getting high
When I was going to snap

I paused, tired to death
An infinite scream, rings in the air
Relaying to me a sense of despair
It rips through nature frightfully
Raging in my head

These sensations are so distant
These emotions are not mine
My consciousness is impermanent
My soul is not divine
Unshakeable sense of detachment
Watching the world go by
Cut adrift from my elements
The desolation is sublime
