Amber and gold
Shimmering in waves
In a soft trembling breeze
they elegantly sway
And I can't help
The longer that I gaze
Feeling like I've stepped back in time
To that spring when the streets ran alive
with daffodils
When time moved so slow
We were thirsting for change
How in springtime our spirits soared
How by Summer they'd withered away
like daffodils
