To highest mountains
A grass snake crowled in
He rolled up inside a cold wet ravine
And suddenly from the stormy skies
A falcon fell down, injured and raging

Affrighted of him the grass snake jerks back
But soon he sees how in vain it was
'Cause that bird just will die in few minutes
And the grass snake hissed right to the bird's eyes:

What, you're dying!
Right, I'm dying,
But I lived in glory
And I was happy
I've seen the wild skies
I fought hardly
But you'll never see it
So close and clear

""So what there is skies? It's empty spaces!""
That was grass snake's answer in response that
""To fly or to crowl, it all ends the same
And someday everyone will become dust!""

But the bold falcon had tried to get up
To look around in that grim canyon
There was so stuffily, and there was rot smell
Stunk water leaked through the gray stone out

The falcon shaddered, then went to the cliff
His clutches was sliding on the slick side
He came to the edge, he spreaded his wings
Inhaled with whole chest, was shining his sight

Then he went roll down, he was like that stones
And sliding on the rock he was falling
Into the storm sea, he hided in waves
There was no trace of bird's corpse in waters

In that ravine grass snake was reflecting
For what birds yearn for accursed skies
And look for life in this endless desert
There's only emptyness and the bright light

But there is no food, there is no surface
For what the reproofs and mindless pride
In order to hide their secret madness
Irrelevance in this worldly life

The see shone bright in the rays of sundown
And waves beat on the rocks down below
In their majestic roar could be heard words
""The desperation of brave ones we laud!""
