The moon is high upon the sky as the tears begin to flow,
She thought he was the one for her but she didn't know.
Tragic ways and long-lost dreams are her claim to fame,
She picks a man of heartless ways she thought that she could tame.
He broke her heart and left her here with nothing left to say,
Though she loved him it was not enough to make him stay.
The saddest part is deep inside she knew he was a cad,
It seemed he always knew the way to leave her feeling sad.
Now alone with the memories that never really were,
