I see the leaves, wrapped around the trees
As I stand beneath the light and see the square
I hear the breeze, whispering to me
As I walk across 6th and Delaware

I lean against the statue of hopes and dreams
Listen to the laughter, the cheers and the screams
Of the children waiting back in 1893
To find a new life, in the land that was free
It was here I was born
