In long grass we lay endless hours and hours
Gazing up high and busting through clouds
An ancient refrain this green and pleasant sight
Through passages in dreams and corridors of light

We chased a bright steeple in our minds and hazy days
The sadness in the absence for the one that got away
The memory is sepia on the obelisk of hills
And butterflies slow motion on earthly window sills

This breeze and grass intoxicate and skywards we are one
As deepest velvet covers all in warmth of the sun
