Howlin' Wind

I was standing on the levee
Watching the wild river flow
Just like the water in the river
I don't know where my life goes
Sometimes I am happy
And sometimes I feel sad

I was walking downtown
And see all people pass me by
They are all in a hurry and running
And I think I don't know why
I don't know if they are happy

Run away from the howlin' wind
Find shelter and move along
Sometimes I do not know where to begin
But I keep pushing on and on

So I walked back to the levee
And the wild water still flows
I did not find the answer
