And that's how the Rhodesian Trooper was born

They served their new found country with passion and pride
All colours, creeds and genders workin' side by side
Served their people and the motherland in war and peace
They will be remembered down the centuries

When the last trooper slips into the grave
A name and number's gonna be on history's page
