I don't want the cherries at the bottom of the tree
I want the ones just out of my reach
The ones that sit the closest to the heat of the sun
that ain't available to everyone
I wanna have to work for the fruit I get
I kinda like to struggle just a little bit

The problem is I'm scared of the big long fall
the ground at the bottom isn't comfy at all
The branches tend to brake when you get that high
and injuries can hurt till the day you die

don't think that I can be as satisfied
No I want the very best things in life
and I just can't help it
cnd even if I get the ones I'm reaching for
I don't know if I'll want them as much any more
because I have achieved I need to move on
and I ain't getting any taller
