Once a year the priest would sacrifice
For the nations sins
He would give an atonement to pay the price
For the covenant they’d entered in
He would sprinkle the blood on the mercy seat
Seven times as God had commanded
A Messiah would come
The Messiah would appear

The blood poured out on the Mercy Seat
Spoke of greater things than their sacrifice
Of when God’s plan then would be complete
