Strangers
No one knew their names but the angels
Welcoming the baby born to them
There in Bethlehem
No room
No one in the world they could turn to
Still their king came crying in the night
To a manger under moonlight
Angels sang the shepherds the good news
And they join the praise of prophecies come true

Hallelujah, hope is born
Love has opened heavens door
God befriends us, strangers no more.

Helpless
Watching as the crowd displayed it's madness
And crucified the king come to rescue them
From their darkness
But oh the joy when he was raised to life
Delivered us from darkness into light

Now we wait here
In this foreign land
Longing for the day
When he comes again
Till then we'll give away
The love he gave
Lifting up His name
