Sometimes it feels like the past I recall
Was someone else’s dream, it wasn’t mine at all
Like an old river, once cut through the stone
And left a canyon in it’s past, now it’s dry as a bone

So many days, have passed me by,
I don’t know where they’ve gone but time sure does fly
But then I’ll hear, an old song that we knew,
And it always takes me back to you

Then just for a moment, I go back in time,
Searching for picture, of the visions that were in my mind
Beneath a cloud that hides the dreams we left behind
And beneath the river that has long since, drained and dried

So many days, have passed me by,
