See growing up as just a young'n life was blissful and free

I learned my knowledge from my momma and the college I attended
But she always kept me grounded through providing me lessons

My first hooptie at 16 I saw the planet unfold
Very broke but educated could succeed on my own
Playing football in the streets and basketball at Douglass park
Remember when I had to always walk to work with no car
My brother rolled up in the Skylark from 78
Rolling through Trues super-fly wit 4 seats in the frame
