But one income doesn’t work as well as two
With childcare and school pickups

So I had to make a change

A new setting was the plan
Be closer to my family that would
Give me a helping hand
Start a new business to honor your grandmother’s memory
It just seemed right

But the pandemic stalled the business and my work life suffered
All the money I had saved was no longer a buffer
But when eight-year-old eyes look at you
You have to do what you have to do
So I left you go
Go back and live with your mother
And so
Tears created a pathway down my heart
And so I have to wait weeks
Til I see you again
I just hope in the end
That you understand what I went through
And see my heart.
