Why is it that in life
We can experience
The highest of highs
While simultaneously
Be at the lowest of lows
Is it our fault?
Did we do something wrong?
Or is it simply
That the world is
Wronging us
Why do we have to wait
For happiness?
Always looking forward
To the next best thing
When the best is
Right in front of us
There is a sort of balance
To emotion
It's never blissful
Nor unpleasant
But rather a combination
Of the two
For emotion
Whether good or bad
Is not something that can be fixed
It is something that we can manage
In our brightest days
And darkest nights
We will always be sitting in
The lowly throne
