When I was a kid I spent my nights by the Light of the Radio~
Entranced by the shadows that danced in it's incandescent glow
I'd stay up all night long 'til they played my favorite song~

Out on the street we cut our teeth to the beat of that Rock 'n Roll
cnd we'd ride around town with the windows down with the sound as loud as it would go~ Summers came and went but all my nights were spent~

Radio waves crashing through the atmosphere~
Radio playing fifty-thousand watts of power so pure~
Radio D.J.s coming in so loud and clear~
I spent so many nights by the Light of the Radio...
cs time went on all those songs on the radio led me down the road I chose~ when I think back to past when things got bad I'd just turn that dial and go~ to someplace far away~a place I could escape ~

Sometimes it might take a little while to find your favorite station on the dial~it came in better great late at night~ when you had your antenna set just right~ cm,FM, Satellite~bathed me in that baptismal light~Transistor, Car or Stereo~ I always played my Radio~ the Radio saved my very soul~
