My eyes reflect the vision of Breonna Taylor
My lips enunciate the protest of Sojourner Truth and
My skin reflects the melanin of a lineage of African Queens and Queens
you see my reflection reflects the image of the souls of black history
An image of my ancestors traveling the paths of hurricanes making landfalls in colonies
Stripped of their philosophy and dehumanized without apologies
Yet we broke chains thru civil rights and civil fights emancipated with still divided by black and white
Like the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn we broke patterns and came in alignment
Becoming innovators and went on assignment
From Kamalah to Barack Obama in the White House built on the backs of our ancestors
A united nation of black and white protesters
