I walk into the misty night,
My heart in sadness dwells
What I did, I should not have done.

I share my tears with the willows.
Weeping alongside the shore.
Of that mirrorpond, I throw stones in.
The water wrinkels as my soul.
My feat tread on the moist soil.
I smell the rotting leaves.
I wish it rained,
As to wash away my deeds.

I raise my head to find radiant stars,
To comfort bitterness
But dark clouds veil them from sight.
Deny, to ease pain inside.
I feel the rain falling on my skin,
Flowing down my face, like tears.
My thoughts way heavy,
but my burden is eased.

As I walk on, a churchbell chimes.
I try to stop my tears.
I seek a place where I can sleep,
And might forget my grief.
