Painting pictures my whole life posted up by the coast
Drink spilled on my coaster
What goes up must come down
And I'll turn back around once the painting's done
Feelings is overrun
Emotions healing feelings of ever being outrun
Paintings is fun, but not a couple months after doing it
You'll do more to outshine the previous one
Feelings is hurt, but us artists always return
Same routine, but with a different agenda
Us artists hoping our artistry will continue to get better
But just like the weather, always seems to get worse
Confidence is more prominent, but the self-doubt lurks
Deep into a project, watch all the passion disburse
Now here we go, still painting me a picture at my worst
And we love to struggle, we crazy, that's our therapy
I'll continue to live life paintbrush next to me
Let some of these things come up over the path
That'll push the path down into your painting
