In and out the haze
Talking
With no one to hear, no one to trace
The silhouette I draw
As I cross the room

Fading
In and out of frame
Dancing
With no one around to do the same
It was not for them
let them all go on

Carried
Swaying with the movement 
of a crowded room
You feel a sense of helplessness wash over you
From the swelter and the glow

Blinded
You catch your own reflection
in a flash of light
and everything you always did your best to hide
is in your face, on full display


I would never tell you
I’d just shrug and move on
Either way this plays out
It won’t be what I planned
