Tides erasing steadily
Patterns in the sand
Hours slipping through my hands
Seasons pass me by

I’ll carve that name once again
I’ll be the spark relighting the flame

Scattered through an empty page
I turn inside out, silently
Fearing not but fear itself
Should I even try?

Hounded again by these thoughts
Clouding my eyes, numbing my head

Echoing inside, elusive, quivering
Voices calling

Unreachable, yet so close
They mesmerize all of my senses

Trapped in senseless roundabouts
Self-destructive satellites
Tangent, in circles they run
Frantic candlelights flickering away

Not here
Not now
Not enough
Needless

Every sequence they abrade
My remaining sanity
Every session I will stay
Dancing on my ashes
