Some things have changed i think
fashions, names, the latest drink
some things have changed for sure
divorce & pills are commonplace
computers are running the human race
& walking is just a waste of time

i'm missing things i've never know
still wondering how to make a home
thinking of that house along the field
where the blackbirds would land
in the palm of god's hand
& us kids ran so free for a while

the TV streamlines news from hell
some things they're just all turned around

sometimes it's hard to face the end
maybe one day we'll get things ironed out
