The new prayer that I say
Lord remove the fake
And keep the ones that's meant to stay

I dedicated this to the young black man
That does not know his place or worth
But needs to understand
He has been royalty since birth

Growing up in this cold world
In a city feeling lost
Wanting for success don't matter what it cost
Gotta watch your every move
They want to smoke you like exhaust
And the odds of going to jail
Seems like a coin toss
Heads or tails
If you fail try again
Keep trying to prevail
Came from a city with a cracked bell
Exposed to the evils early
Witnessing crack sells
Was taught the only way out is if you ball
Or you can rap well
But that fact is wack
Cause I see a lack of black males
They left the households not playing they position
Just listen for a second think about your mission
If you don't raise your own
They gone get raised by the system
Or the streets going to get them
Prepare them for death or either prison
That's too raw
To change my life is what I pray for
I told myself I would be happier when I make more
Realized my impact greater than any change I'm waiting on
If the game shakes me or breaks me
I hope it makes me a better man
To help me understand
To make a plan for what's yet to come

The audacity to feel like you belong
Or to feel like an effort should be made
Just to right the wrongs
Despite it all
We work twice as hard
Just to get half as far
The trauma leaves you with internal scars
Know you a king you can anything
And through it all stand tall
You can take anything
Make it through anything
Ball hard you can get many rings
But you gotta work hard
Don't give up when its menacing
Fight the temptations
Cause they can get you into things
Keep us in the trap
Then face a charge during sentencing
But aim cause you got bigger dreams
Creative visions, grand ideas
Bigger than anyone has seen
I didn't make this to create division
I just want to plant the seed
For what they need to build up self esteem
Something is rare when you know its not many of us
They say less is more
Really its plenty of us
