One night in Reno I drove down a dirt road

I stopped to get gas when a young lady asked me

Several years later back home in Missouri
I saw the young lady by chance
So I stumbled over and tapped on her shoulder
And asked her politely to dance
And as we got closer I finally told her

That someday she’d end up my wife
