This is the tale of Bobby and Joanne
They met in the Park in the centre of Japan
They did not have much money
Things did not seem so right
‘til that big crash of thunder in the middle of the night

Joanne called out loud, “this must be all a dream”
She ran around a little and fell into the stream
People started laughing at the funny sight they saw
She tried to break a smile as the rain began to pour

Bobby was the sort of guy
A gentleman at heart
Went out his way to help you and would always do his part
He heard all the commotion and ran across to see
Poor Joanne just standing there as helpless as could be

Their eyes met with contentment
He handed her his top
She hugged him forever and this moment wouldn’t stop
Taking shelter at a coffee shop and talked until the dawn
The night bought them together and the love affair was born

Time passed by so quickly
They got married, bought a house
They even had two kids
One was holding Mickey Mouse
Life was now a struggle with every penny spent
The moments shared together, were the moments heaven sent

To keep a dream alive right now
Would seem so Peter Pan
They promised when they reach old age they go back to Japan
But Bobby works so hard these days
He tries to build their wealth
He has little sleep and looks so ill
Has problems with his health

The tears have gone and washed away the love of Joanne’s life
All the thoughts of Bobby cut’s her open like a knife
The kids have gone and flown the nest
She is all alone again
Going through the photos
All the memories of back then

Joanne made a promise, one she would uphold
She sold the house and all within, now that she was old
A Journey to the good place where she and Bobby met
Sat in that Park near to the stream
She never would forget
