Lights across my room
Am I bad as I say?

Changing over and over

Should I write what I say?


Lights across my room

But the sun’s turning grey

The time felt like fire

And then went away


I’m used to things like

Telling someone something like “trust me”

But then I step away

Searching in the city of rust for

Something I left behind me


Well, me? I’m flying around

Running through pretty things as i go

Learning how to trust in mistakes

Growing up who I am as I go


And even if I stay still

I’ll find my way back home

I may be grey and tired

But I’m coming home
