Middle schools a roller coaster ride through hell
And will you fall off? Well only time will tell
Some kids fake it till they make it and dine with thugs
Other kids end up taking all kinds of drugs
Doing irreversible damage their minds are stuck
It’s hard to look inside them and find the love
You feel like your parents are only out to make you suffer
But they’re trying not to let you take your life and make it tougher
Decisions made today will be haunting you at supper
When your mother’s asking questions and the tones are getting rougher
Your comments and expressions betray your love for each other
The respect you will learn to have for one another
Is gonna take a few decades to be discovered
Try not to let it destroy the life you have uncovered
You only get one chance at life you can recover
If you grow up and do whats right you’ll stand above it

Our teachers tried to reach us I couldn't afford them sneakers
I didn't play any sports but was often up in the bleachers
While the honeys look the other way ignoring what my mother would say
Waiting for the moment where they couldn't get enough of me
I'm here reflecting on all my different selections
Some choices are made with poison but made them all with perfection
Reading all them books but can't remember all of the sections
Sick of trying to figure what to do with this erection
I got the bullies trying to take my starter jacket
They'll never fully understand that they can't have it
In my adolescence I had lessons to learn
Like how to fight for myself cause no one else was concerned
Some were jocks some were geeks in the parks in the streets
In the dark kid for weeks we would spark up the leaf
Then the coppers would creep try to stop our beliefs
Some things will never change they ain't that hard to repeat
