Just like the saying goes, the time will fly
Before anybody knows, another year’s gone by

Ain’t it amazing how the calendar never slows down?
Movin’ relentlessly forward We’re all future bound
Give me a minute to remember the month and the day
Ain’t I supposed to be somewhere? Am I doin’ OK?

You know that it’s fright’ning to wake up one mornin’ and see
Another day’s gone Another day’s gotten by me
Just like the saying goes, the time will fly
Before anybody knows, another year’s gone by

Only last year I was sayin’ how much I could do
Workin’ and playin’ and helpin’ Spending time with you.
And so much has happened since then, I’m really amazed
But there’s still so much on my wish list Just need a few more days

The good and the bad and the ugly just keep rollin’ on
It ain’t gonna stop. The day always follows the dawn.

So I will try before I die to treasure every day
