On the horizon where the sky meets the day
From another time came a ghost from far away
From a world not far away
He said we got a long way to go
But if we give up all we know

Then we followed, him on a mission to the Bay
His words they shook us up and the people we gave him sway
But he knew we couldn’t stay
He said he heard a knocking at the door
He couldn’t take it anymore
To travel south is such a chore
But we’ll be free forevermore…
And then we had to pay

And by the fall he saw his world lying dead
They took a shot for luck made a toast to all he did
But the shot went to his head
You said now take a look at what he’s done
He got a hold of everyone
The future’s here but not for some
Their lives are gone but ours go on
