I love my little chicken coop
Where my happy hens lay…
Dozens of farm-fresh eggs
For me nearly ev’ry day

From their roost to their nest
They get nothin’ but the best
Curtains hang in the win-doughs
Tied back with yellow bows

And it’s the cutest chicken coop
That you ever did see
Much cuter than my own home,
If you ask me.
With crystal chandeliers
And a red rooster weather vane
The charm of their she-shed
Is hard to explain....
I know the love for my girls
Is way out of control
But it’s not just another hen house.....
…it’s my chicken coop for the soul


Sometimes I feel like a mother hen
With her children gathered under her wings
Feeding them…needing them
Doin’ my barnyard thing
Sure, it’s a lot of work
And chicken feed ain’t cheap
But, my little backyard chicken coop
Is the happiest place on our street.
