Just another day in Blanketland
Where all my whims are cardboard blue
Investigating ancient things
And sniffing out a kindred soul

A sentimental millstone charm just crashed the dance
Accumulated knowledge spelled the end for such romance

Now the horizontal world outside
Is calling me expendable
Death by the easy metaphor
Celebrate it with a yawn

Make me believe that I'm a good person
Make me believe it all works out for the best

I could manufacture my own dreams
And shuffle off to be reborn
