My dear men, my brothers in arms,
a new dawn has broken. Although I
am only a man, I fought with courage
against this monster. I held no
weapons, but used only the strength
that was in me. I trusted in myself. I
have destroyed this terror from the
darkness. If we all summon this spirit
and this strength then we will win
all of the battles that will come. If we
can take down Grendel we can take
down any evil thing and live in peace
and safety for the rest of our days.
